MPH Portfolio Introduction

Welcome to my E-folio.

My professional life has been extremely rewarding, however, it was time to re-enter the academic setting as a student.  I chose the Master's of Public Health (MPH) Program at San Francisco State University to broaden my perspective of health and it's impact on communities and populations.

Career interests have focused on respiratory health for the past two decades.   I began my professional career as a licensed Respiratory Therapist working with infants and children in the clinical setting.  In the last decade, the focus has shifted to education with my current role overseeing the Respiratory Therapy Program at Skyline College.  I am grateful for the opportunity to work in an academic setting that recognizes and values diversity and provides an atmosphere which fosters learning and student success.

I am excited to partake in the  public health experience and continue to learn much through the journey.  If I can feel like I have contributed to the health and well being of my community, my goal has been accomplished.

I invite you to explore my world!
